At Christ Church Primary School we value strong relationships and endeavour to work closely with parents and carers so that all children flourish and reach their full potential.
We believe that parents and carers are an important influence in a child’s life; they are their child’s’ first teacher and we acknowledge that learning begins, and continues, in the home environment. At Christ Church Primary School we seek to work in partnership with parents and carers building on what children already know and are able to do, encouraging them to be the best that they can be!
From the outset, as soon as children begin their time with us, we warmly welcome parents and carers into school for a wide variety of activities that support children to develop and flourish. We value the contribution that parents and carers make to school life and the positive influence they have on all children.
Stay and Learn
All parents and carers with children from nursery to year six receive an invitation to our termly ‘Stay and learn’ sessions. This is a great opportunity for parents and carers to spend time in school, alongside their child, seeing what they get up to every day!
Sessions last for approximately one hour and are focussed on learning, offering ideas for parents and carers to support at home.
