At Christ Church Primary School art and design is taught in every year.  Pupils are taught to think critically and develop a rigorous understanding of art and design, including the work of great artists, craft makers and designers. They learn how art and design both reflect and shape our history, and contribute to British culture, creativity and wealth.

 

Through the curriculum, including visits to study some of our country’s most prestigious artwork, pupils are inspired and challenged to invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. They all have ample opportunity to produce creative work, explore their ideas and become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques.
