Before & After School Activities

Before and After School Clubs (Autumn Term 2021)

Following a recent review of our extra-curricular provision, we are writing to give notice of the changes to our After School Activities with effect from September 2021.

Please note that our intended changes, and indeed any after school activities, will be subject to any Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines in place at the time.  As soon as we have DfE information for the autumn term, we will let you know.

In the meantime, we are going ahead planning for the autumn term and, we hope, our full offer of before and after school activities will be available for children in Reception to Year Six.  As always, all activities will continue to be led by our own staff during the following times:

Breakfast Activities:  8.00am – 8.45am

After School Activities:  3.15pm – 4.30pm

Please note that we will no longer be providing the option of a ‘chill out’ session after 4.30pm.

We are sending out further information, via email to all parents, with a letter from Mrs Riley and details of Sedgley Kids Club.  Please read the letter and follow the instructions using the link to register your interest, if appropriate.  The link to register your interest is below:

In the meantime, if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Current (Summer Term) Covid 19 arrangements for Breakfast and After School provision

Breakfast and After School Activities

Breakfast and after school activities will start on 8th March and are on offer for those who require essential childcare. Numbers are limited and payment must be made in advance through our online payment system.

Breakfast ‘childcare’ activities will be in the school hall; after school ‘childcare’ activities will use the hall and the playground, weather permitting.

All children attending this provision will be expected to adhere to our school measures to minimise coronavirus risk, including restricted access around school, washing hands and minimising contact with others.

Breakfast activities will run from 8:00am until 8:45am. Cost is £2.00 per day

After school activities will run from 3:15pm until 4:30pm. Cost is £2.50 per day

Please use the link below to request a place at either breakfast or after school activities. Once your request has been submitted, we will be in touch with further information.

Before school and after school activities

Through our before and after school activities programme we offer a wealth of exciting and often brand new experiences which broaden horizons and open doors of opportunity, hope and aspiration for all children, regardless of their circumstance. Activities are led by our own very talented staff team, they are designed to be fun and cater for a wide variety of interests.  We want to offer the scope for each and every child to find a passion, develop a talent, spark an interest or simply find pleasure in doing an activity with others.  Before and after school activities are a fantastic way of achieving this and we are excited to offer a wide range of activities from singing and drama, arts and crafts, sports etc.

Participation in before and after school activities:

  • Enables children to sample and enjoy a range of activities and pursuits that will help them choose leisure activities for adult life
  • Enables children to experience activities that they may not otherwise encounter, and acquire and develop new and existing skills
  • Helps build confidence, resilience, well-being and creativity
  • Encourages children to develop friendships between age groups and work together co-operatively

Breakfast activities start at 8.00am and after school activities run from 3.15 - 4.30pm.

Please ask in the office for further details and charges.  Please see the policies tab for the full Before and After School Activities policy.
