Good Morning Year 3,
Reading
Read your stage /phonics book. (Remembering to decode any tricky words using Fred in your head) Why not find a cosy corner to relax and enjoy or ask your grown ups if you can make a reading den!
When you have read your book/chapter then write down two key events in the book/chapters you have read.
Challenge- ask a grown up to set a 1 minute timer and count how many words you can read correctly in that time.
Writing
Look out of your window and write some ENP (expanded noun phrases) senteces about what you can see.
Remember ENP use adjectives to descibe the nouns.
The ground was covered in a fluffy, white blanket of snow.
The crisp, shimmering snowflakes danced from the sky.
Challenge- use 2 adjectives in each sentence.
**Remember to use the handwriting joins we have practiced!**
Spelling:
Log on to spelling shed and complete some of the games.
Maths:
Log on to and play TT Rockstars - who will be our class champion?
Related Facts
Yesterday we looked at related facts and we drew base 10 jottings to support our answers.

History:
Our new history topic is the Vikings.
Write down any questions you would like to know or explore about the Vikings during our learning.
As this is a new topic todays task is to watch some of the video (in the links below) for research purposes.
Write down 5 new facts you have learnt from the videos.
Most importantly... when your learning is complete; don't forget to HAVE FUN IN THE SNOW! (just remember to stay safe and keep warm!)
