This week in nursery this week we have been learning about Spring and that changes that occur this time of year.  We been noticing daffodils, tulips and buds on trees growing in our garden and all around us.  For your home learning this week we would like you to go on a spring walk and see if you can notice signs of spring.  Can you notice any daffodils?  Can you see any tulips?  Can you see a blossom tree?  Can you find any buds about to grow?

Library Sessions

Every Monday your child will visit the library in nursery to choose a new library book.  It's important that they return the book from the previous week to enable them to choose a new one.

On the first day, read the book to your child and let them enjoy the sotry.

On the following days, you can begin to ask them some questions as you share the book together.

- What can you see in the picture?

- What will happen next?

- How is the character feeling?

You can also encourage them to join in with the parts they know.

Your child can draw a picture or engage in an activity linked to the story for example make a Gingerbread Man, build a house for the Three Little Pigs, try some porridge like the Three Bears, make a trap for the Evil Pea!  You can share what they have done in their Magic Moments book and staff will make sure your child has time to share this with us in nursery.
