Home Learning

This week in nursery we have been learning about mini-beasts and we have been looking for ones that live in our allotment and wildlife garden.  For your home learning this week we would like you to go on a mini-beast hunt and see what mini-beasts you can find around you.  There is a video below to remind you of the ones you can look for.  You could draw pictures of the ones you find and add them to your Magic Moments book for us to share in nursery.

Library Sessions

Every Monday your child will visit the library in nursery to choose a new library book.  It's important that they return the book from the previous week to enable them to choose a new one.

On the first day, read the book to your child and let them enjoy the sotry.

On the following days, you can begin to ask them some questions as you share the book together.

- What can you see in the picture?

- What will happen next?

- How is the character feeling?

You can also encourage them to join in with the parts they know.

Your child can draw a picture or engage in an activity linked to the story for example make a Gingerbread Man, build a house for the Three Little Pigs, try some porridge like the Three Bears, make a trap for the Evil Pea!  You can share what they have done in their Magic Moments book and staff will make sure your child has time to share this with us in nursery.

Any questions, please come and ask us.
