Home Learning

This week we have been learning about night time and nocturnal animals.  For your home learning this week we would like you to look at the night sky and talk about what you can see.  You may see fireworks in the sky so you can tell your grown-ups about the colours you see.  You could draw a picture of the night time sky in your Magic Moments book and your grown-ups can write down what you say to describe the sky.

We hope you have a lovely half term break!

Library Sessions

Every Monday your child will visit the library in nursery to choose a new library book.  It's important that they return the book from the previous week to enable them to choose a new one.

On the first day, read the book to your child and let them enjoy the sotry.

On the following days, you can begin to ask them some questions as you share the book together.

- What can you see in the picture?

- What will happen next?

- How is the character feeling?

You can also encourage them to join in with the parts they know.

Your child can draw a picture or engage in an activity linked to the story for example make a Gingerbread Man, build a house for the Three Little Pigs, try some porridge like the Three Bears, make a trap for the Evil Pea!  You can share what they have done in their Magic Moments book and staff will make sure your child has time to share this with us in nursery.

Any questions, please come and ask us.
