At Christ Church Primary School, our vision of 'Aspiring together through love' encompasses arrangements for lunchtime. Activities on offer give all pupils opportunity to make choices for them selves as they grow and flourish together both physically and socially.
Children dine together with friends in their class and can choose a hot or cold school dinner or bring a packed lunch from home. Our teaching assistants supervise and support during this time, particularly with teaching new skills such as using cutlery. Our Lunchtime Arrangements and School Food policy can be found in the 'Policies' tab.
All children spend time outside during their morning break and lunchtimes. Areas offer both adult led and independent activities, designed to engage and motivate all children and support skill development. Competitive and non-competitive sports are available and we have timbre adventure trails and climbing areas, keeping our children active throughout breaks and lunchtimes. We use all of our outdoor spaces, including taking advantage of our macadam court each day. For children who prefer quieter activities, sheltered areas with benches are available where children enjoy socialising with friends or completing their own activities.

Healthy Lunchbox Week
We promote Healthy Lunchbox weeks throughout the year where children are rewarded for making healthier choices in their packed lunch, or for trying something new on their hot dinner plate. Each term, children and their families are encouraged to consider a specific focus, for example:
- Reducing sugar intake to look after our teeth: Click here for advice on looking after your child's teeth
- Complete the rainbow challenge: Click here to see the rainbow challenge
