You have the perfect weather for today's task to practise for our winter description that we are working on in school!  Look at the explanation below for writing expanded noun phrases.  Look out of your window or go outside.  Write expanded noun phrases for:

the garden

the tree

the house

the road

Then try using them in sentences.

Reading

This week in Reading, we have begun our new class text, The Girl Who Stole an Elephant. Think about the main character, Chaya.

1. Draw a picture of Chaya. Use clues from the story so far to imagine what she might look like.

2. Answer the question: What are your first impressions of Chaya? What do you think of her, and why?
