This week in maths, we have been learning to count to 20, recognising numbers to 20 and counting objects to 20.
For your home learning this week we would like you to count out 20 objects at home. Remember when you say the number name make sure you use the word ‘teen’.

Math Activities
Below are some maths activities for you to try at home.
Socks
Gather 10 pairs of socks and one cushion. Can you throw the socks onto the cushion. How many landed on the cushion? Can you recall number bonds to 10? Do you have fewer or more on the cushion?
Pairs
Can you find matching pairs of socks? Can you count them in twos? How many altogether? Can you sort socks into patterns?
Bottle Lids
Can you collect different coloured bottle lids. Count out 10 and drop them. Can you sort them into colours to compare more and fewer? Can you make links back to your numberbonds?
Can you use the bottle lids to create repeating patterns?
Egg Boxes
Can you count out an amount accurately using an egg box? Can you move the objects around to make numbers in different ways? Can you add two amounts together using an egg box?
