Welcome to your World Book Day activities!
The Masked Reader
Watch the videos below where some people you should recognise will be reading an extract from one of their favourite books or stories. Use the clues to guess the books and the readers! Email your guess to your teacher.
Search the pages under the children’s tab on the website and see if you can find 10 hidden books! Can you answer the quiz questions with them? Email your answers to your teacher. Good luck!
Book in a Box
This is a lovely activity that you could complete by yourself or even with brothers and sisters at home if you would like to! Choose a scene from one of your favourite books and create it in a box. Watch the video on the link below to see how it’s done.
Some of our favourite authors in Year 4 are actually some of our class authors and you have enjoyed listened to books by Roald Dahl and Jacqueline Wilson this year. Another favourite this year has been David Walliams. Check out their websites below for lots more fun activities.
(There are also some great Roald Dahl activities in a special World Book Day activity pack below.)
(Scroll down to the ‘fun and games’ and ‘activities’ sections.)
(The activities section on this website is brilliant!)
