Background Slideshow

Dough Disco and Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle

Each day in nursery we take part in "Dough Disco" so this star will show you the move each week and the song for you to practice your move to.  Each week we will add a new move and a new song.  This should take you about 5 minutes each day and your grown up or other family members could join in with this with you.

To take part in "Dough Disco" you will need some play dough or make some salt dough.  The recipe for salt dough is at the end of this page.

This week's move is "pinch".  You have to roll a ball, squash if flat between the palms of your hands and then use your "Tommy Thumb" and "Peter Pointer" to pinch around the edge to create a sun.  The video below shows you the move!

Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle
Welcome to Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle!  Each week we will add a new move in this star.  You will need 2 dusters or cloths to do "Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle."  You will also need some paper and crayons or pens so that you can create the moves on paper once you have practised them.
This week's move is "side to side."  Are you ready to try this week's move nursery?  Get ready?  Here we go!  Click on the video below.

When you have practiced making the move in the air you can then try doing it on some paper like in the photo below.  "Up, down, side to side."
We hope you have lots of fun taking part in Dough Disco and Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle at home just like you do in nursery!!!  Don't forget to share your learning with us via email.
