Children's Charter

We aim for each pupil, in all their unique difference, to thrive beyond the academic in order to know their intrinsic value and fulfill their unique God-given potential.  Our Children’s Charter sets out a wide, rich set of learning experiences that support children in the development in all aspects of their personhood.


Every child will be welcomed into the church community. They will know Christ Church as a safe space and as a place of worship.


Every child will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the life of school through a volunteer or leadership role in service to others.


Every child will know our local community well and have the opportunity to make a contribution.


Every child will, each year, have the opportunity to be an advocate for change, learning about local and global issues and how to be a proactive citizen.


Every child will have the opportunity to vote in a school election.


Every child will have the opportunity to listen to and read a wide range of quality texts throughout the year.


Every child will receive the gift of a book from our school each year.


Every child will have the opportunity to lead collective worship.


Every child will have the opportunity to learn about other world religions and cultures through food, music, artwork and literature.


Every child will have the opportunity to listen to and enjoy live musical performances.


Every child will have the opportunity to visit the theatre and enjoy live theatrical performance each year.

Every child will shine and celebrate their talents through song, dance, drama and poetry performance.
