About Us

We are a large lively primary school with children from age three to eleven years.

We pride ourselves on the welcome we give to everyone and the high expectations we have for everyone - children and adults!

Welcome to Christ Church Primary School!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site.

The information on this web site is intended to tell you about our school, what matters to us and show you why we are so proud of all that we do and achieve.

Our school motto is ’Dream it, believe it, achieve it!‘ This is at the heart of every thing that we do. Each of our children is precious, unique, a marvel! We want each and every one to reach for the stars!

We believe in high standards in every area of school life and parents who choose to send their children to Christ Church are expected to support us in encouraging our children to do their best and to be the best in everything they do and in promoting good behaviour. This is important; educating our children is a partnership and it requires effort from us all.

Everyone in our school community has a voice and a right to be heard. Please remember, we are always ready to listen.

Our Vision for this School

Pupils and Teacher in Class Children in Class

Shared values are at the heart of our school and essential for success.

We believe in the power of enthusiasm and self confidence.

The staff seek to motivate the children and each other giving and expecting the best in every area of school life.

We value all individuals equally and seek to treat children as they might become rather than as they are and to know them well.

We believe in building quality relationships and look to the successful education of the whole child.

We aim to be outstanding in all areas of school life.

We hold at the forefront of what we do a vision of the Kingdom of God.

Our Aims

  • To provide a secure, happy and stimulating learning environment which everyone can be proud of and where adults and children are proud to be, thus promoting good attendance.
  • To be a “community of enquiry” where we all learn from each other, with each other, on behalf of each other.
  • To provide a range of opportunities and learning experiences through a highly innovative, motivating curriculum which maximises the individual’s true potential, secure high achievement and challenges all. To harness developing technologies to this purpose ensuring our children are confident to use these safely.
  • To promote confidence and enthusiasm in all aspects of school life.
  • To foster positive relationships, to engender a Christian ethos with tolerance and respect for others, and ourselves, evident in our actions.
  • To promote high standards of teaching and learning and to expect the highest levels of attainment for everyone.
  • To nurture an awareness of society and everyone’s rights and responsibilities and to develop, in all members of our school community, the ability to make wise choices.
  • To encourage self-discipline and an enjoyment of learning. To help our children to become independent learners with lively, enquiring minds.
  • To be a community that works together towards our shared goals with vision and commitment, nurturing children and adults who are lifelong, powerful learners.

We believe that every child is entitled to attend a successful school and that it is much more rewarding for adults to work in a successful school.
